Miriam Bates and Jill Baggett are both recipients of the Distinguished Service Award from the Fellowship of Australian Writers.
November 4th 2017 Jill received her award from the Fellowship of Australian Writers at their luncheon in Sydney.
A Distinguished Service Award is a well deserved acknowledgement of hard work in their many years of positions on the committee and all round organisers for the Mudgee Valley Writers.

In 2014 Mid-Western Regional Council awarded Mudgee Valley Writers with the Mudgee Seniors Week 2014 Award for “Recognition of your achievements in supporting the Community”.
The Award was presented during the Seniors Week Luncheon at the Mudgee Bowling Club by Councillors Percy Thompson and Esme Martens
